Do You See Yourself Here?

You are successful, but exhausted. You show up for everyone, but rarely for yourself. Many of the women I work with are High-achieving professionals. The dependable one in their family and circle. Struggling with anxiety while appearing “put together”. Overextended in relationships and responsibilities. Experiencing burnout and emotional exhaustion. If this sounds familiar, you are not alone, and you don’t have to keep carrying it alone.
I’m Marquita Ward, Licensed Professional Counselor, and I specialize in supporting high-functioning Black women who are tired of carrying everything alone. Many of my clients are successful, driven, and dependable. They are often the strong one in their families, careers, and relationships. On the outside they appear confident and accomplished. On the inside they may be navigating anxiety, self-doubt, burnout, or relationship challenges. As a Black woman myself, I understand the cultural pressure to always be strong and resilient. My goal is to create a space where you can finally exhale, a space where vulnerability is not weakness, but the beginning of healing.
Through culturally affirming, trauma-informed therapy, I help women rebuild self-confidence, clarify their identity, regulate anxiety, and develop healthier relationships. Healing isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about returning to yourself.
Chin Up Always!

What Changes When You Do This Work
When women commit to this process, things begin to shift; not overnight, but deeply.
You begin to notice: Your anxiety no longer controls your day. You set boundaries without overwhelming guilt. You stop tying your worth to productivity. You trust yourself when making decisions. Your relationships become healthier and more balanced. You feel more confident in who you are. Therapy with me is not about fixing you. It’s about helping you come back home to yourself.
