Meet Marquita Ward, a licensed professional mental health counselor, coach, entrepreneur, and influencer for women empowerment. Her work has been translated into daily experiences that deal with human trauma and life stressors, which is common today. Her passion to bring healing to people who have been through such traumatic/stressful experiences brings purpose to her. A native of Warner Robins, Georgia, Marquita finds healthy ways to blend her therapeutic side with her creative mind as a rising self-made businesswoman and therapist. Marquita provides perceptiveness to those looking to gain peace, clarity, understanding, and valuable healing. Marquita’s foundation for her private practice is empowering a person’s mind to empower their life through a therapeutic spiritual approach.

With her education and experience, Marquita has positioned herself to create a pathway dedicated to healing people from all walks of life regardless of race, age, gender, or sexual orientation. EXPERIENCE
With over 15 years of experience in the human services field and mental health, Marquita has worked for organizations that focus on mental health awareness. She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health from The Fort Valley
State University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice as well. She chose to take her life experience, and education of counseling and blend it with the inspiration of creating a movement for empowerment. With grace, she has been able to help those that crosses her path gain direction, self-awareness, self-knowledge and improved self-confidence. Marquita has also created a T-shirt line “Chin Up Always”, established in 2016 which highlights apparel that is worn to inspire and empower. This brand started a movement in South Georgia to promote sisterhood and safe space for women to be inspired and motivated while feeling safe to be vulnerable. Although her focal point has been creating a safe space women, Marquita does provide that same safe space for male clients to be vulnerable without feeling judged or ridiculed, while empowering them gain self-knowledge, and self-awareness while working through their grief and trauma.
